Garden Route Adventure Tour

If you're yearning for more than just a checklist of experiences, then this breathtaking coastal route of South Africa is an opportunity you simply cannot afford to miss!

Come along as we journey through the majestic Garden Route. Prepare to be utterly captivated by its stunning beauty and charming little towns, an absolute paradise for outdoor enthusiasts and explorers at heart.

Day 1:

Our journey commences from the sleepy George airport, marking the onset of an exhilarating adventure! We'll begin with a warm meet and greet session before setting off towards the rustic charm of Oudtshoorn, nestled in the heart of Little Karoo. This town is a true diamond in the rough! Upon our arrival, we'll retreat to our hotel for some well-deserved relaxation. As dusk falls, prepare your taste buds for a culinary delight as we indulge in an exquisite dinner featuring mouth-watering Klein Karoo cuisine. The anticipation is simply electrifying!

Day 2:

Post our morning feast, we are about to embark on an awe-inspiring hiking escapade through the majestic Swartberg Mountain Pass! The sight of the stunning rock formations, composed of Quartzitic sandstone, will etch an unforgettable panorama in your memory. A significant part of the Swartberg is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, safeguarding the unique Cape Floral areas. As we traverse through the Swartberg Pass, prepare to be spellbound by unparalleled views showcasing its rich geology and diverse flora and fauna. This is nature's masterpiece at its finest!

Prepare to be utterly captivated! This tour promises a kaleidoscope of extraordinary experiences, starting with an intimate encounter with the ostriches - South Africa's native birds that strut around like true supermodels. The journey continues as we delve into the mystical depths of the Cango Caves and bask in the breathtaking beauty atop Swartberg Mountain Pass. But hold on, there's more! We'll also discover the enchanting Meiringspoort Waterfall where, if you're feeling brave enough, you can plunge into its refreshing waters for a swim.

After this tour, have our lazy drive back to the coastal town of Knysa, where we will enjoy our dinner before heading to Plettenberg Bay for check in and much needed rest, to recover from the grand hike!

Day 3:

Right after a hearty breakfast, as we embark on a delightful drive to the elephant sanctuary. Here, we engage in an enchanting interaction with these majestic giants. Our journey continues as we make a stop at an art and craft shop that brims with creativity and craftsmanship. But wait, there's more! We then set off to indulge our palates with some of the region's finest wines - truly a gastronomic delight! The day culminates with an awe-inspiring boat trip to Seal Island before we have a dinner sit down and head back to our hotel for the night, with hearts filled with joy from another thrilling day of adventure.

Day 4:

What a delightful day we have planned! Post our morning meal, we'll be heading straight to Tsitsikamma, the heart of South Africa's exhilarating adventures! Our journey begins with a thrilling Segway tour that will whisk us through the lush indigenous forest. After settling into our hotel, we'll embark on a leisurely hike to Storms River, followed by a well-deserved lunch break. As the afternoon fades away, beer enthusiasts among us will relish a visit to the local brewery for some craft beer tasting. To top off this fantastic day, we'll dine at one of the charming local restaurants for dinner.

Day 5:

After breakfast, we end our time together with joyful hearts as we head off to the airport.

The itinerary

DAY 1: GEORGE OVERNIGHT STAY

George is a quaint little town,  dressed in towering mountains! On arrival we will go straight to the hotel (5 star) where we check in and enjoy leisure time. We will then explore the town and start on first excursion. . In the evening we will enjoy dinner at the hotel's restaurants

HIGHLIGHTS: Outeniqua Pass, Outeniqua Transport Museum, Montagu Pass, golfing, Canoeing, Abseiling, Cliff Jumping, Run en Vrede Waterfall

DAY 2: OUDTSHOORN OVERNIGHT STAY

Today, we will enjoy breakfast at the hotel and enjoy a little bit more of the town, before proceeding to Outdtshoorn. On arrival in Oudtshoorn, we will check in and enjoy leisure time in the town and go for our activities, and check out the wine and craft brewery! Dinner will be at at Ostrich farm, there will be vegetarian and vegan options for everyone

HIGHLIGHTS: Meerkat tour, Congo Caves, Ostrich safari, Mountain Biking, Hot Air Ballooning

DAY 3 - 4: PLETTENBERG BAY OVER NIGHT STAY

After breakfast at the hotel, we will go for a detour in Mossel Bay and enjoy mouthwatering seafood by the sea! There will be options for vegetarian and vegan people. After visiting Mossel Bay, we will continue to Plettenberg Bay and enjoy sundowners before dinner

Day 4: Today is all about exploring and enjoying our activities. We also visit local wine farms for wine tasting and markets trying local dishes. Dinner will be at one of the best restaurants in town

HIGHLIGHTS: Monkeyland, Robert Nature Reserve, Whale & Dolphin Watching Gin Distillery, Birds of Eden

DAY5 - 7: TSITSIKAMMA OVERNIGHT STAY

After breakfast at the hotel in Plettenberg Bay, we will proceed on our drive to Tsitsikamma, our last stop and hub for adventure! After check in, we will enjoy lunch in the village, before exploring and going for our first excursion. Dinner will be enjoyed at one of the village's   restaurants.

Day 6: After breakfast, we will cary on with our adventure, exploring the town and nearby regions, enjoying our excursions. Dinner will be enjoyed at one of the village's restaurants.

Day 7: After breakfast, the shuttle will take us to the airport . This is the last morning in the beautiful Eastern Cape Garden Route!
